Catering

Your party. Our menu.

We don't do one-size-fits-all. There is no flat catering menu to pick from. You tell us about your event — who's coming, what they like, what's the vibe — and we build the menu around it.

Sometimes that's a tray of a hundred empanadas on a backyard table. Sometimes that's the food truck parked at your wedding rolling out Cuban sandwiches at midnight. Sometimes it's Rena coordinating a sit-down dinner with rice, beans, and a dessert cake that Julio baked that morning.

Whatever it is, it starts with a phone call. And it ends with your guests asking where you got the food.

What to expect

Personal not production-line.

Built for your event.

You talk to Rena (or Julio himself, depending on the day) and we design the menu from scratch. Allergies, favorites, picky kids, your abuela's opinion — all of it factors in.

Cooked by Julio.

Catering comes out of the same kitchen that serves the restaurant. It's the same empanadas, the same sweet onion sauce, the same Cuban that Tampa Bay press rave about.

Any size, any setting.

Ten people in your living room. Two hundred at a wedding. A corporate lunch for the office on Friday. We scale the approach, not the attention to detail.

Truck-to-event service.

Roll the food truck onto your lawn and let guests order as they go — or have trays of empanadas and plates delivered hot. You pick the style.

We also make cakes.

Yes — Julio bakes custom cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, quinceañeras, and any other excuse to end dinner with buttercream. Ask what's possible.

Sweet onion sauce, of course.

Every catered empanada comes with our signature sweet onion sauce. Guests always ask where to buy it — small bottle $5, large $10, right at the restaurant.

Our Signature Offering

Julio's Empanada Parties.

This is the one we're known for. An Empanada Party is what happens when we bring Chef Julio and the team to your house, your office, your backyard, or your venue — and we turn the event into the kitchen.

Guests pick their empanadas off a live station. The special of the night gets announced like a toast. A stack of sauces lines the table. Rena keeps the drinks moving. Julio folds on the spot if the line runs out.

We've done them for 20 people and we've done them for 200. The party always ends with someone telling us, "that was not catering, that was an event." Correct.

Yes, also cakes.

We bake too.

Julio doesn't only cook savory. Need a birthday cake for your kid? An anniversary cake that actually tastes like cake? A flag-colored quince cake? Done.

Custom cakes are built to order: flavor, size, frosting, design. Minimum 48 hours' notice, longer for anything elaborate. Pick it up at the restaurant or have us deliver it with the rest of the catering.

How it works

Four steps from call to plate.

Tell us about it.

Email or call. Guests, date, vibe, budget, dietary notes. We listen first and write the menu after.

We design the menu.

Rena or Julio sends back a proposed menu and price. You say yes, no, or "what about the Cubans?" We adjust.

We confirm & prep.

Small deposit, final headcount 48 hours out, and the kitchen starts prepping the day before. Everything is fresh.

We show up and cook.

Delivery, drop-off, truck, live station — whatever you chose. We show up with everything we need and leave the space clean.

Tell us what you're planning. We'll take it from there.

Every booking is a phone call or an email first. Rena handles most of the scheduling — when Julio picks up, he'll hand it over to her.
